The Itsy (not so bitsy) Spider

Isn't this spider sooo cool. He looked a lot bigger when he was on the move. But there was no way I was getting that close. So I just had to wait until he kept still for me to take the shot. I saw this type of spider in my "National Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Insects & Spiders" book, and the minute I saw it I recognized it as a Marbled Orb Weaver. Wow, I really sounded geeky right there, but you know what, I don't care. For some reason, I can remember all the words to my favorite songs and the names of a lot of animal species, but I have trouble remembering my homework. I think I have a selective memory, like I can only easily remember things I enjoy learning about. Like I won't remember someone by their name, but I can recognize who they are by their voice and face. It's one of those things that are cool and annoying at the same time (like myself).
